Healthcare shares fall

Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd (down 3.77%), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd (down 3.74%),Dr Reddys Laboratories Ltd (down 2.67%),Alkem Laboratories Ltd (down 2.64%),Zydus Lifesciences Ltd (down 2.5%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Gufic BioSciences Ltd (down 2.44%), Poly Medicure Ltd (down 2.36%), Aarti Drugs Ltd (down 2.33%), Max Healthcare Institute Ltd (down 2.13%), and Cipla Ltd (down 2.08%).

On the other hand, Artemis Medicare Services Ltd (up 6.46%), Bajaj Healthcare Ltd (up 4.54%), and Tarsons Products Ltd (up 3.96%) moved up.

At 13:45 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 104.08 or 0.16% at 66126.16.

The Nifty 50 index was down 33.25 points or 0.17% at 19709.1.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 27.72 points or 0.07% at 37016.03.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 11.16 points or 0.1% at 11142.78.

On BSE,1712 shares were trading in green, 1824 were trading in red and 173 were unchanged.
