Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd gains for third consecutive session

Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd gained for a third straight session today. The stock is quoting at Rs 216.9, up 1.88% on the day as on 12:49 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is up around 0.55% on the day, quoting at 20800.85. The Sensex is at 69214.22, up 0.51%. Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd has risen around 4.18% in last one month.

Meanwhile, Nifty Energy index of which Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd is a constituent, has risen around 12.49% in last one month and is currently quoting at 30330.5, up 1.8% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 172.48 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 158.38 lakh shares in last one month.

The benchmark December futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 219.8, up 2.52% on the day. Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd is up 29.39% in last one year as compared to a 11.58% spurt in NIFTY and a 14.27% spurt in the Nifty Energy index.

The PE of the stock is 13.03 based on TTM earnings ending September 23.
