SKS was incorporated for development of a 1200 MW (4 x 300 MW) thermal power project in two phases of 600 MW each in Raigarh District of Chhattisgarh. As on the date, 600 MW capacity is in operation with infrastructure of 1200 MW. The remaining capacity of 600 MW is yet to be installed.

Sarda Energy & Minerals is a vertically integrated producer of steel with captive iron ore. The company is manufacturer and exporter of niche grade manganese based ferro alloys.

The company's consolidated net profit declined 43.19% to Rs 121.24 crore despite a 2.37% rise in sales to Rs 1076.05 crore in Q4 FY23 over Q4 FY22.
